Attention all high school seniors with big dreams and aspirations! We are excited to announce the launch of the Willie and Aikisha Colon Scholarship Fund, dedicated to supporting students like you in pursuing higher education and achieving your goals.

HBCU Scholarship for High School Seniors

If you are a high school senior planning to attend a Historically Black College of University (HBCU) and reside in the NY/NJ area, you may be eligible to apply for our scholarship program. We believe in the power of education to transform lives and are committed to providing opportunities for bright and talented students in our community.

Eligibility Criteria:
‍Must be a Senior in High School.
Must plan to apply to an HBCU.
Must be a resident of NYC, NJ, or MS.
Must have a 2.5 GPA or higher.

Application Requirements:
Submit a 250 word essay on how important it is for you to attend a Historically Black College or University.
Submit a recent head shot or profile picture.
Upload a recent copy of your high school transcript.

On March 16th, we completed an exciting milestone as the Willie and Aikisha Colon Foundation presented the Historically Black College and Universities (HBCU) College Fair in the Bronx.

The HBCU College Fair is your chance to engage with admissions professionals, learn about scholarship opportunities, and gain insights into the incredible educational experiences these institutions offer as well as an HBCU Alumni Panel.

Our board and community advisors are always working diligently to ensure all programs and events are fully funded, stocked and increasingly impactful. But we still need your help and assistance.

  • Boogie Down Backpack Giveaway

    This back-to-school event brings together the community right before the busy school year and accepts donations all year long and school supplies starting July 1st, 2024.

  • Christmas In The Bronx

    The last event of the year always brings happiness and joy to the neighborhood with a hot breakfast meal and toy giveaway. We accept donations all year long. Gifts, toys, and coats can be donated started  November 1st, 2024.

  • HBCU College Fair

    The HBCU College Fair is just days away and we are excited to offer scholarships to students that registered.
